The story of Monster Mountain:
Upon completing this piece and studying my own art, as I often do; I saw the mountain as a kid with a sheet over his head, similarly to how when we were little we might dress up as a ghost for Halloween. But where do monsters come from? Are they more often than not just illusions of the mind? And what is fear, aside from ‘False Emotions Appearing Real’? In the painting, the “fear” is appearing larger than life because we have put so much focus on the fear that we have “made a mountain out of a molehill” as one might say. As Wayne Dyer once said, “If you change the way you look at things; the things you look at change.” Maybe its time we all see through our own mountain; see through the illusions we have created.
