Artist Bio

I have often said that time spent in nature is time well spent. While walking barefoot in the forest, my body connects with the earth and my mind becomes mesmerized by the tiniest of details. The colors and depth found in the simplest of bark, the way vines spiral around one another, or how a leaf, turned just right catches the light. I enjoy many interactions with wildlife and feel these moments to be sacred. With my camera in hand, I capture these intricacies of nature and my critter friends. These images are then the inspiration for my water-colored photography. Working with bold black lines, saturated colors, I seek out the small abstracted patterns hidden within each composition. My art reflects the magic of my experience on earth; it tells of the “Hero’s Journey,” - the journey in which one overcomes challenges, experiences personal growth, and develops spiritual wisdom.
